Do I need to hedge my bets

Cos all the sites like 'best buy' 'Amazon' etc, a lot of their links are for 'portable dvd players' which is plural.... However I am going for the singular...Which again favours me for a 100% match if you see what I mean! I have seen this plural Vs exact match relation a few times now and it does have the same outcome... Exact match is treated a lot better indeed... So again, say if I have 1500 indexed links with the exact match, it is a lot better then 1500 of the plural term when trying to rank for the exact match term!!! The singular term is 3 x more popular then the plural though...So obviously I had to target that first!!!

So........ Really, because I have an exact match anchor text across my links and I have a lot more links then competitors, I should really be jumping over some of the bigger boys on offer!

I've been waiting a very very very long time, however I feel that a very defining time in my online journey is coming, if all my theories prove correct....
